Bogie and Bacall are two of a family of cats abandoned and cast outdoors when their owner suddenly left town. Discovered by a family member who mercifully accepted the care of 5 young kittens and their nursing mother, PAWS was contacted to rescue the remaining brood and hopefully find a permanent residence for those left behind. Weeks of feeding and gentle coaxing followed in hope of winning the confidence of the forsaken castaways. Bogie and Bacall were two of the more receptive juveniles and were trapped, neutered and relocated to a comfortable halfway house along with the remaining clan. They currently enjoy the comfort of a spacious shelter and outdoor enclosure but lack the security and companionship of a loving family. These gentle natured felines have become closely bonded by their adversity and would be a perfect fit for a welcoming family with children or someone who simply appreciates a gentle evening purr.
